How do I find out the status of my suggested correction?

After you submit a Data Research Request, our Resolution team initiates an investigation with the reporting data source (e.g., a specific DMV, police agency, or service shop).
Investigation Timeline & Updates:
- Initial Case Email: You will receive an automated email with your unique Case Number immediately after submitting.
- Research Period: Most research investigations take 3 to 5 business days to complete, depending on the response time of the reporting data source.
- Checking Status: To check on your case, you can reply directly to your case confirmation email. A Resolution Manager will provide updates.
- Resolution: Once completed, you will receive an email explaining the findings and whether a change has been applied to the CARFAX report.
